CJOB News Team reporting
Wise up Winnipeg and the Canadian Taxpayers Association are now calling on Mayor Sam Katz to stop allowing photo radar tickets to be issued at the controversial Grant and Nathaniel Intersection. In a letter obtained by CJOB, the groups call on the Mayor to ensure speed is enforced by real police officers instead. They also want an independent review conducted. Both groups argue the radar there gives false readings because it shoots through metal objects. Police say thats not true. Mayor Katz told CJOB this morning he was tired of the back and forth and wanted the issue cleared up once and for all.
