Two people were taken to hospital after fire broke out in a suite in a Winnipeg high rise late last night.
Fire Crews were sent to the 8th floor of the building in the 500 block of Elgin Avenue around 11:30.
One man suffered minor smoke inhalation, while a woman suffered smoke inhalation and minor burns.
Both are in stable condition.
Police believe careless smoking is to blame. Damage is estimated at 65 thousand dollars.
