Former Winnipeg Mayor Susan Thompson will receive the Distinguished Alumni Award at the upcoming University of Winnipeg's Spring Convocation. Thompson is known as a successful entrepreneur, fundraiser, diplomat, and community leader. She served as Canadian Consul General in Minneapolis, and managed an unprecedented 38-million dollar endowment fund as President and CEO of the U of W Foundation.
