CJOB News Team reporting
5/14/2012
It was a mixed bag of unusual thunderstorm activity tonight after a cold front started coming through Southern Manitoba around 6:30..
James Cummin of Environment Canada told CJOB there were brief reports of heavy rain and very strong winds across the region including in Winnipeg and even sightings of tornadoes near Elie and Plum Coulee..
And Cummin says there are now very strong winds and blowing dust in the Carman area has reduced visibility at times to Zero..
He says it may have been the same situation that plagued drivers on Highway 75 south of Morris, Monday night around 8:30..
Meantime, high wind was blamed for a semi rollover on Highway 3 near Oakbluff around 4:15 Monday afternoon. RCMP say the rollover closed the route for about an hour..
The truck driver was not seriously injured..
