Despite the addition of 58-thousand-200 jobs last month, Canada's unemployment rate edged up one-tenth of a point to 7.3 per cent.
Statistics Canada says the increase in the unemployment rate was because more Canadians were actively looking for work.
Manitoba's rate stayed the same at 5.3 per cent.
