There were a number of hydro outages across Southern Manitoba late Thursday night the result of high winds..
Manitoba Hydro spokesman Anthony Koop told CJOB numerous tree limbs have fallen on power lines knocking out power in parts of the Interlake, Brandon, Portage La Prairie, Stonewall and Oak Bluff..
Inside Winnipeg there have been power outages in the south part of the city at McGillivray and Kenaston with traffic lights and street lights knocked out of service.. Police Cadets were on the scene at one point directing traffic.
There were also reports of power outages along Bishop Grandin Blvd and Waverley street as well as a small power outage in the Tuxedo area..
Koop says crews were working all morning to restore power..
