The two southbound lanes of the Disraeli bridge over the Red river are closed this weekend to allow for concrete pouring on the new bridge..
The adjacent sidewalk will still be permanently closed and pedestrians are advised to use the sidewalk on the East side of the Bridge. The lane closure is in effect from 7pm Friday to 6am Monday
And, The public is advised St. James Street will be completely closed to northbound and southbound traffic at the railway crossing on St. James Street north of Saskatchewan Avenue starting at 7:00 p.m Friday, May 11 for a railway crossing reconstruction project. It's expected to re-open at 6:00 a.m. - Monday, May 14.
Local traffic will continue to have access to St. James Street at Dublin Avenue during the reconstruction. The 77 CROSSTOWN NORTH Transit service will be re-routed.. Motorists are reminded to allow additional travel time when driving in the area.
And finally, Due to Hospital construction, William Avenue will be closed this weekend to local traffic, pedestrians and cyclists at Sherbrook Street from 6 pm Friday to 6 am Monday morning.. Local traffic can still access the Health Sciences Centre and the William Avenue parkade from the West, but will not be able to access them from Sherbrook Street.
Vehicles trying to access the Health Sciences Centre Emergency departments can detour via McDermot Avenue...
The affected Transit Routes 12 WILLIAM and 33 MAPLES will be rerouted
