A large sinkhole on Corydon Avenue has traffic in both directions rerouted between Rockwood and Wilton. The hole opened up Thursday afternoon and was about eight feet deep when city work crews arrived.
Work to repair it will continue but CJOB has learned the hole may not be fully repaired until Monday.
Meantime, a catch basin pipe in front of 843 Ingersoll Street collapsed late Wednesday afternoon causing a large void under the pavement. The repair work is expected to start this weekend and there will be some traffic and parking restrictions on Ingersoll between Sargent and Ellice Avenues as a result.
Sewer service to area residents is not affected in both cases.
