The lawyer for ex-Winnipeg Police officer Richard Dow has told a jury the woman accusing Dow of sexually assaulting her was lying on the stand. 58 year old Dow served 18 years on the force but is now retired. He is alleged to have sexually assaulted the woman who was modelling for an agency on the side back in 2000. In it's closing argument, the Defence told court the two did have sex but it was totally consentual and the woman was an active participant. The Crown has told court she was so drunk after being fed drinks by Dow that she was unable to give her consent. The jury is expected to begin deliberations on Monday.
