Two Peruvian Nationals have been charged by the Winnipeg RCMP Financial Integrity Unit in connection with counterfeit U.S. currency passed at several Winnipeg retailers during February and March of this year..
38 year old Oscar Villavicencio has been charged with five counts of Uttering Counterfeit Currency and 24 year old Edgar Rosales faces nine charges of Uttering Counterfeit Currency.
The two men are in custody in Ontario after being arrested by the OPP on an unrelated matter.
