Winnipeg City Council has voted to defer the vote on the water park propsal until it can get more information from the developer about what the project will look like and how public grants might work:
CJOB's Kim Lawson was at city hall for the vote.
Councillors Browaty, Eadie, Fielding, Gerbasi, Mayes, Orlikow, Sharma, Smith, Steen and Vandal voted in favour of the motion.
Councillors Havixbeck, Pagtakhan, Swandel, Wyatt and Nordman voted against it.
