Vancouver community centres are bringing the Olympic spirit from London here.

Kerrisdale, Kitsilano, Kensington and Douglas Park are all showing the Games on TV through to the end of the events.

Park Board Commissioner Constance Barnes says part of this is bringing back the spirit from Vancouver 2010.

"Community centres are a hub.  They're a place that people get together, families come together, you know, you've got a real mix of people in the community and they share stories. We're really hoping at the park board this brings back that energy of sharing, excitement and rooting for our team and our wonderful athletes."

Strathcona Community Centre also plans to hold an Olympic-themed day camp at Maclean Park Aug. 3.
