Abbotsford police dealt with a bizarre case of drunk driving yesterday.

Constable Ian Macdonald says just after the noon hour yesterday a man with two young boys in his car elected to have a nap in a left turn lane.

Macdonald says when concerned passer bys pulled the kids out the car.

"The father instead of you know questioning that or becoming more responsive he ultimately elected to just move himself from the front seat to the back seat where he could stretch out and be more comfortable."

Macdonald says no surprise as the driver failed a breathalyser test.

"He has been subject to a 90 day immediate roadside prohibition and will be without his Ford Focus for the next three months."

An interlock ignition device will also be put in the car on the drivers dime.
