The official results weren’t released yet, but it looks like the bid to breathe new life into a former civic political powerhouse in Vancouver has failed.

The Non-Partisan Association held its annual general meeting last night.

It was seen as a battle between the old guard, and a slate of people who want to change the NPA.

In the end, though, it appears many of those behind two consecutive annihilations at the polls are back.

Unofficial results suggest failed 2011 mayoral candidate Suzanne Anton elected as a three-year director on the NPA's board.

Also elected were 2011 campaign chair Peter Armstrong and developer Rob MacDonald of MacDonald Development, which donated close to a million dollars to the NPA in 2011.

Two members of the slate looking for change were also elected to three-year posts: Ken Charko and Robert Boyko.
