A 55 year old Coquitlam man is recovering from a bear attack in Whistler.
Police say the man was in a backyard hot tub yesterday afternoon at a home in the 4800 block of Casabella Crescent when he felt a heavy blow to the back of his head.
It knocked him forward in the tub and when he turned around he was looking into the face of a black bear.
The man yelled at it and ran into the house.
Police found the bear about 100 metres in a neighbouring wooded area and killed it
The man was treated for lacerations to the back of his head.
