Attorney-General Shirley Bond is giving Wally Oppal more time to complete the work of the Missing Women inquiry.
Bond has granted Oppal's request for another extension.
She says his report is now due on October 31st, instead of the end of June.
She says that will allow the commission to collate and analyze materials from over 80 witnesses over the past year.
The original deadline was last Christmas.
