Translink says ticket vending machines will undergo upgrades, in order to make them accept new one and two dollar coins.
The new coins are lighter than previous versions, and aren't being accepted by current machines.
Translink says new machines along the Canada Like require a software upgrade, while older machines on the Expo and Millenium lines need hardware upgrades.
The priority is to get at least one machine that accepts the new coins working at every station -- and then upgrade the rest.
