The missing women inquiry has now heard a former Vancouver police desk clerk, accused of making racist and derogatory comments to the family members of women reported missing from the downtown eastside-- was the subject of an internal investigation.

Sandy Cameron’s lawyer Karlene Bateman asked former VDP inspector Fred Biddlecombe about concerns her client was regularly feeding confidential information to the media.

"Rumours of Ms. Cameron being rude and the rumour that she was the source of the media and had a direct line on her phone to a CKNW reporter."

"I think he was more investigating the potential leak of police information to a specific reporter.""did you recall hearing rumours of her being rude to people?"

"There were always rumours going around in a police force of over a thousand people. Rumours are just that, rumours."

Biddlecombe says he doesn't remember seeing the final report prepared by sgt. Bob Cooper, but he believes there was no evidence of wrong-doing.

Earlier this week, Cameron disputed the testimony of several other witnesses who said she was rude during phone conversations with relatives.
