The NDP is still on a high after last week's byelection wins in Port Moody-Coquitlam and Chilliwack-Hope.

Opposition leader Adrian Dix and his caucus welcomed soon-to-be MLA's Joe Trasolini and Gwen o'Mahoney to the legislature today.

".......it was the best possible kind of victory in that sense they have a real mandate to come here and represent the people of Port Moody- Coquitlam, and represent the people of Chilliwack-Hope, and we're so proud to have them as colleagues, welcome!"

It will be a few weeks though before Elections BC verifies the voting results and the two newcomers can actually take their seats in the house.
