After losing two seats to the NDP in last night's byelection, Premier Christy Clark is promising to work harder to unite the right.
But she's rejecting any suggestion she step aside to make that happen.
Clark says she has no intention of quitting before next year's provincial election.
".....well I think you know I think what the results tell us is that if you split the vote with a third party the ndp gets elected. and I am the leader of the free enterprise coalition in this province and I'm going to lead us into the next election." Clark also rejected the idea of making any backroom deals with Conservative leader John Cummins to merge with the Tories.
