Drugs may be to blame for the death of a 15-year-old boy in Quesnel.

RCMP Const. Krista Vrolyk says the boy was found unresponsive at a home Friday, only to be pronounced dead at the scene.

“Our investigators attended the scene and have spoken to a number of people with regards to the investigation and preliminary investigations have suggested that drugs may have been a factor in this death.”

The coroner also indicated drugs may have been involved, although which ones remains unknown.

An autopsy will be conducted next week.

Foul play has been ruled out.
