A month long festival is set to close down on the city's busiest routes.
Yonge Street will lose two lanes between Gerrard and Queen Streets starting tomorrow, lasting through mid-September.
Celebrate Yonge Street will see patio space expanded, as well as creating a semi pedestrian mall.
Councillor Kristyn Wong-Tam says the plan for the festival was in place a year ago, with the goal of the project to see if vehicular space will be impacted with the lane reductions.
