Almost four years after the death of 7 year old Katelynn Sampson, an inquest into her death has been announced.
The inquest, will examine the events surrounding, and leading up to the death of the girl, with possible recommendations made by a jury to prevent a similar incident.
No date has been set.
Police were called to an apartment on West Lodge, near Queen & Lansdowne in August 2008, where Sampson was found suffering obvious signs of trauma.
She later died in hospital, where medical examiners found more than 70 bruises, both internal and external, and claimed septic shock was the cause of death.
