The TTC will soon be accepting debit cards to pay for Metropasses.
Your interact card will not be able to help you buy smaller fares, like tokens.
TTC Chief Customer Service Officer, Chris Upfold admits the move is long overdue.
Upfold does say the TTC is implementing responses from its first customer service survey after only 52% said it was easy to buy their way onto the system.
There's 83 collector booths across the City.
60 of them will be completed by the end of the year and the rest of the debit machines will be installed by the end of 2013.
It will cost some money every year to offer the service on things like cables, data and power.
The TTC pays about 7 cents for every debit card transaction.
