The city of Toronto has issued a heat alert as humidex values are expected to reach 40 on Tuesday.
During a heat alert, people are urged to check on those such as seniors who are at risk of suffering from heat-related illness.
People are advised to drink plenty of water and avoid sitting in the sun.
