A list of the 10 most congested roads in the City have been released.
Councillor Denzil Minnan-Wong says most people will be surprised to find out that congestion and grid lock is actually more of a suburban than a downtown problem.
The Public Works Committee did approve that list on Thursday.
All 10 streets will now undergo transportation studies and a report is due back in the fall.
The following intersections made the top 10 list:
1. Bayview/Sheppard Avenue East
2. Yonge Street - Hwy. 401 to Sheppard Ave
3. York Street - Front to Gardiner Expressway
4. Sheppard Avenue West/Allen Road
5. Leslie - Hwy. 401 to Sheppard Ave.E
6. Lakeshore Boulevard - York to Bathurst
7. Kennedy Road - Hwy. 401 to Sheppard Ave.E
8. Markham Road - Hwy.401 to Progress Ave
9. Dufferin Street/Finch Ave West
10. Black Creek Drive/Lawrence Ave.W
