The northbound lanes on highway 400 are expected to be packed today as people head up to cottage country for the long weekend. It’ll be a perfect time to soak up some sun as temperatures in Muskoka/Parry Sound will reach highs of 28 degrees Celsius.
If you’re staying in the city, expect a fair share of sunny weather as well. Temperatures will be in the mid 20’s throughout the May 2-4 weekend.
The beer taps will be flowing, but police will be out in full force to look for impaired drivers.
You can head down to the Rogers Centre starting tonight and catch the Blue Jays open up a 3-game series against the New York Mets.
Fireworks are also expected to light up the sky. Canada’s Wonderland will hold their spectacle on Sunday at 10 p.m. followed by more fireworks at Ashbridges Bay Park on Monday night.
If you need to get around, the TTC will be running on its holiday schedule while GO Transit will have buses running on the Sunday schedule.
All government offices, banks, libraries, mail delivery, garbage pick-up, LCBO and beer stores will be closed on May 21st.
Some shopping malls will remain open including, Eaton's Centre, Square One and Vaughan Mills.
