Toronto Police have charged a TTC bus driver with careless driving, after a number of passengers were injured in a bizarre incident this morning.
According to those on board, the bus was travelling southbound on Bay near Wellesley, when it suddenly came to an abrupt stop.
Roughly 70 people were in board, with 9 being transferred to a medical centre for treatment of minor injuries.
Police are still trying to determine why the driver hit the brakes so hard.
