Toronto Police have put a stop to their sweeps to nab "johns" who pay for sex from street prostitutes.
Police say in light of the recent court ruling where some of Canada's sex worker laws where deemed unconstitutional they're reluctant to use their finite resources..
The sweeps take a significant amount of manpower but they've been put on hold until the law is taken to the Supreme Court of Canada.
Investigations against illegal massage parlours, brothels and escort agencies will continue if police receive complaints.
