The Mayor has lost a vote when it comes to outside planners.
Rob Ford wanted to stop hiring non-city staff planners, to appear in front of the Ontario Municipal Board.
Ford says it costs anywhere from $10,000 to $20,000 to recruit them.
If he would have won the vote, the City could have saved almost $200,000 a year.
