The province is slashing several hundred OHIP fees that Ontario doctors are paid as labour negotiations reach a standstill.
The changes include axing payments to doctors who refer themselves for diagnostic services like X-rays.
Fees for cataract surgeries will be also be chopped by 10 per cent.
The government says doctors are now able to work more quickly due to new technologies, but the fees haven't changed. It will save $338 million this year.
