Councillor Michelle Bernadetti is hoping a report to be released today will help save the city's trees.
Her idea is to stop Mayor Ford's plan to scrap the 5 cent plastic bag fee and redirect the $5.4 million collected each year to restore the city's green canopy.
The report will be tabled as part of the Mayor's executive committee agenda and they'll consider it at their next meeting on May 14.
