Yonge Street is once again running the risk of losing it's status as the longest street in the world.
Unless you count pedestrian traffic that is.
A Toronto councillor is making another attempt at turning Yonge Street into a partial pedestrian mall, between Gerrard & Richmond Streets.
The closure would coincide with the Celebrate Toronto Festival, running between August 13 and September 20.
Two lanes would stay open, running in both directions.
