The Eglinton Crosstown LRT might not be done for another 8 years, but the headaches, are imminent.
10 underground stations are slated to be inserted along the line, and each station will need to be cut-and-cover, meaning the street needs to be torn up from the surface, to track level.
The biggest issue - comes at the two busiest intersections, where Eglinton meets the Allen and Yonge, along with two subway stations.
One proposal on the table is for a full closure of the northbound lanes of the Allen Expressway between Eglinton & Lawrence to stage construction equipment.
