The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health is set to receive a $10-million donation for its children and youth programs.
The donation will be announced later today, and is the largest in Canada for child and youth mental health.
The donor is philanthropist Margaret McCain who co-authored 3 major provincial studies on early childhood learning.
The money will help the hospital hire more specialists in the field, create a new crisis intervention team and set up an inpatient unit for youth with both mental illnesses and addictions.
