A severe thunderstorm watch has been issued for much of southern Alberta.
The watch covers the city of Calgary, as well as Okotoks - High River - Claresholm. Airdrie - Cochrane - Olds - Sundre - Rocky Mountain House - Caroline-Kananaskis - Canmore - Nordegg and the Forestry Trunk Road Highway 734.
Severe thunderstorms are possible this afternoon and evening could bring large hail and damaging winds.
