In its twelfth year, the Staples for Education program is once again filling back packs full of school supplies for local kids in need.
Staples stores across the City are accepting donations for the program which in recent years has met a strong need in the community -- annually filling three-thousand packs for students, K through Grade 12.
General Manager at the Market Mall location, Marty Heron says the need hasn't diminished over the years they've been doing this.
They annually fill around 3,000 backpacks filled with basic school supplies which are then distributed locally.
Heron adds cash donations are appreciated as Staples can then purchase school supplies at cost, rather than retail prices.
