A pair of men canoeing along the Red Deer River this afternoon found themselves in some hot water. The canoe capsized down stream of the Dixon Dam after hitting some dead fall. Both men fell into the water and one man was immediately able to get to shore and call for help. The other canoer, an elderly man, lost his life jacket and wasn't able to make it to shore until further downstream. He was not seriously injured. RCMP are reminding boaters and floaters to be vigilant as water levels are high and currents are strong right now.
