A gas leak in Bridgeland yesterday afternoon forced a brief evacuation yesterday afternoon. The Calgary Fire Dept. says an excavator working outside the front of a home in the 200 block of 12A St. N.E. hit a gas line.
Residents in the area quickly got out of their homes, and fire and ATCO gas crews were able to quickly stop the flow of gas. People were allowed to return to their homes a short time later.
