An immigration adjudicator has ruled that former Calgary Stampeders running back Joffre Reynolds can be released subject to certain terms and conditions.
Reynolds was taken into custody after being charged in connection with a domestic assault against a former girlfriend.
It was also learned that his Canadian work permit had expired.
Reynolds told the adjudicator that Calgary offers him a greater opportunity to be productive.
