A 20 year old female cyclist is dead after she collided with pick-up truck on Highway 7 near Okotoks Wednesday afternoon.
RCMP say the woman experience some riding difficulty and ended up veering into a lane of traffic when she was hit.
Her father was riding with his daughter at the time of the collision.
Highway #7 was closed in both directions for approximately 2 hours, but has since re-opened.
Police are withholding the name of the deceased at this time to ensure that all next of kin notifications have been completed.
