Calgary Police have now charged a man in connection with an assault that happened in the southwest last night.
A 25-year-old woman was walking along a pathway to the west of Glenmore Landing when a man grabbed her from behind.
He attempted to grab her buttocks but she managed to break free and call 9-1-1.
A man was arrested a short time later after being spotted by HAWCS.
44 year old Stephen Douglas Weiss, of Calgary, has been charged with sexual assault. He has been remanded in custody and his next court appearance is scheduled for tomorrow.
Police don't believe this assault is linked to one that occurred on the weekend on a pathway near Deerfoot Trail S.E.
That investigation continues.
