An investigation is underway into an oil spill in northwestern Alberta. The Energy Resources Conservation Board says the accident happened last Saturday at a Pace Oil and Gas injection well site near Rainbow Lake. Board spokesman Darin Barter says officials are still trying to determine the size of the spill and whether it will have any effect on the environment. He says board staff are on site and the Calgary-based company could face penalties, depending on the outcome of their investigation.
