How would Alberta fare as a "country" when it comes to income, education and life expectancy? A new report by the Centre for the Study of Living Standards says the province would place third in the world, only behind Norway and Australia. It's based on the Human Development Index, the same measure used in a ranking done by the United Nations last year, which saw Canada place sixth. Ontario, Northwest Territories and BC would all place just below Alberta. The lowest in Canada would be Nunavut, who would place 38th in the world.
