With over a month left in the year, public school support workers may be ready to walk off the job.
The Calgary Board of Education Staff Association, which represents all school positions outside of teachers and unionized cleaning staff are holding a strike vote Thursday afternoon.
They cite poor working conditions and unfair pay, things that have remained unreasolved through 17-months of negotiations.
However, staff won't be able to just walk off the job if the strike vote goes ahead, as association has to wait on a labour matter put before the province about the situation.
