Mounties in Strathcona County have reopened a murder investigation that had been stayed months ago.
Police are confirming they've made an arrest in the deaths of 50 year-old Susan Trudel and 68 year-old Barry Boenke. The two were found dead on a rural property near the Bosco Homes day home facility near Sherwood Park in June of 2009.
Two youths originally ordered to stand trial in the murders had their case stayed last summer, after the courts ruled there wasn't enough evidence to go to trial. One of those youths now faces a number of charges including second degree murder.
He's also charged with Counseling Others to Commit Murder, in connection with an unrelated incident.
The teen will be in court June 8th.
