The slicing down of trees in a southwest green space has many still in disbelief, including the mayor.
Naheed Nenshi isn't mincing his words. He first heard about it on Tuesday.
Dozens of trees mowed down in Britannia with no one apparently hearing or seeing it happen.
Nenshi says it may have been done when others in the neighborhood were gone during March break.
Some think it might have been new homeowners trying to get a better view of Calgary's downtown core.
It once again has the mayor calling for a tall fence to be put in until some new trees start gaining height.
