The better halves of Alberta's premiers have found immortality on the walls of the legislature.
Portraits of the wives of the 13 previous premiers were unveiled on the fifth floor at a ceremony presided over by Speaker Ken Kowalski, in honour of their contribution to public life.
On hand for the unveiling were Jeanne Lougheed, Margaret Getty and Marie Stelmach, wives to three of the four previous premiers.
Their husbands, former premiers Ed Stelmach, Don Getty and Peter Lougheed, were with them.
Absent were former premier Ralph Klein and his wife Colleen _ Klein has been ill in a care home.
Premier Alison Redford was on hand, and remarked it was the first time four of the five Tory leaders have been together in one room.
