City police now investigating a possible homicide following the death of a a 21 month old girl .
The young girl was found unconscious at a home in the 100-block of Elgin Heath SE Wednesday afternoon.
Police won't say whether they had been called to the home on previous occasions...or how the child received her injuries.
They add they are working closely with doctors to figure out exactly what happened.
Three other children were in the dayhome at the time.
The girl was taken off life support late Friday evening. Prior to her death, the child's family made the decision to donate her organs.
An autopsy is scheduled for early next week, after which time more details will be released
