Calgary police have issued a statement after a toddler was seriously injured at a private dayhome in McKenzie Towne Thursday.
Few details are being released at the moment.
The Major Crimes Unit continues to lead the investigation after the 21-month-old girl was found unconscious at a home in the 100-block of Elgin Heath SE Wednesday afternoon.
The child remains in critical condition in hospital.
In the statement, police say they are not in a position to speak about whether they had been called to the home on previous occasions or how the child received her injuries.
They add they are working closely with doctors to figure out exactly what happened. Three other children were in the dayhome at the time.
